The motion chart shows 1940 – 2010 Decennial U.S. Census data at the geography of Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU).
Data topics include population, gender, race, and housing. There are three charts – bubble, bar, line – and the charts
can be manipulated a number of ways. The axis’ variables can be manipulated and the color of the chart can be changed to reflect location or variable.
The bubble chart allows the bubble size to be changed by variable.
Bubble Graph
Each bubble represents a different NPU and changes size according to the selected variable. Each axis' variable can be changed along with other customizations available in OPTIONS tab above. Use EXPAND to view in Full-screen mode.
Bar Graph
Each bar represents a different NPU. Y axis variable can be changed changed along with other customizations available in OPTIONS tab above. Use EXPAND to view in Full-screen mode.
Line Graph
Each line represents a different NPU. Y axis variable can be changed changed along with other customizations available in OPTIONS tab above. Use EXPAND to view in Full-screen mode.
